Yellowtail are back: first fish of the season at the Bellows
The water hit 17 degrees last week and the first yellowtail of spring came aboard on Tuesday. Here is how the season usually unfolds.

Seventeen degrees is the number. Once the water at the Point warms past it, the yellowtail arrive within days. Tuesday’s fish was 7 kg on a spoon at first light. October is patchy, November is reliable, and by January the Bellows are on fire.
